Infinite Swing 2026 - Event & Competition Rules

Jack & Jill Competitions:

We will be offering Jack & Jill competitions in the following categories:

• Newcomer: First-time competitors or those who have earned no points.

• Novice: Competitors who have earned fewer than 16 Novice points.

• Intermediate: Competitors who have earned 16 or more Novice points.

• Advanced: Competitors who have earned 30 or more Intermediate points.

• All Star: Competitors who have earned 60 or more Advanced points.

• Sophisticated: 35 years of age or older by close of the event. 

• Masters: 50 years of age or older by close of the event.

General Competition Rules:

All competitions will be judged based on timing, technique, and teamwork.

Lifts are not permitted.

All competitions will adhere to the Official World Swing Dance Council Rules, which can be found at the following link: https://www.worldsdc.com/rules/.

General Event Requirements & Expectations for Competitors

All competitors are required to hold a valid event pass that includes competition access, register before the published deadline, and pay any required entry fees.

At the event, competitors must pick up their bib numbers before competing and be present in the ballroom at least 15 minutes before their division. Please follow all marshalling instructions.

Competitors are responsible for reading and following these rules as well as any applicable governing body rules for their division (WSDC rules).
